I purchased this not knowing if this will work, and so far I cant figure it out.

I am trying to have my clients fill out a form, and then have their credit card charged a minimal amount, like $1, then move on from there. I dont want them to register, just go to the form, fill out their information, insert their CC, and done.

Any ideas?

Hi Tiffany.

Is this what you’re looking for?

I hope it helps. :)

It helps, but I dont need to allow access to a specific post. I just need them to just be able to fill out a form and pay the authorization amount.

Basically I dont want to worry about permissions as all.

Basically, this is the landing page:
http://baby2breast.com/secure-your-home-visit/

I want to combine that page with this page:
http://baby2breast.com/services/schedule-an-appointment/

We will charge $1 so we know its a good card, and after service, we are going to change the amount though authorize.net console for the final total.

make sense?

Hi Tiffany,

Here’s what you can do:

1) Create a “Thank you” page in WordPress that thanks the visitor for making the $1.00 purchase and explains what will happen next
2) Add that page ID to Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Specific Post/Page Access Restrictions
3) Generate an Authorize.net Specific Post/Page (Buy Now) Form that charges $1.00 and select the “Thank You” page that you created and restricted in steps 1 and 2: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Pro Forms -› Specific Post/Page (Buy Now) Forms
4) Add the generated button shortcode from Step 4 to some page in WordPress (your “Purchase Page”) so that visitors can fill it out the form and make the payment
5) Modify the email that gets sent to the purchaser so that it simply thanks them for their purchase and explains what will happen next (i.e., change the email so that it doesn’t look like they’re “buying the Thank You” page; you probably want to explain they will be charged for more than $1): Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Options -› Specific Post/Page Confirmation Email

Here’s what will happen when someone fills out the form:

1) Customer fills out form and makes payment for $1.00
2) When payment succeeds, they are redirected to the “Thank You” page (technically, the page they just “purchased”, but they don’t need to know that)
3) The customer will simultaneously receive an email thanking them for their purchase; this is the email you modified

Now that all of that is done, you can do the rest of the stuff from Authorize.net as you explained.

ok, that helps a lot and im trying that now. But ive hit another snag…

how can I edit the form itself, I dont need any more extra info like the email, username, etc.

Really wish I had a better idea of doing all of this :(. Really appreciate your time.

well, I wanted to say I was done. However.

I edited the template, and it still requires they pick a username/password/email….

What can I do for them not to be required to give that info??

If you’re selling the person a Specific Post/Page access, the person is not required to register an account.

Could you please show me the page?

Oh, but those fields are for the payment, not to create an account. And if they don’t give you the email address, you’ll have nowhere to send the access link for the restricted page.

But I dont need to send them to a restricted page, just accept their payment.

OK. Let me see if I understand:

– User has to pay $1
– You review the user
– If OK, pays more

Like they are paying $1 to have their application reviewed, is that it?

If you don’t want them to create an account, the option s2Member has the Specific Post/Page access, which will send the person an email with the link to the protected page.

The other options s2Member has would sell him access that requires them to register an account.

If you don’t want anything to do with access, then just create a button over at PayPal, doesn’t need to be integrated with s2Member, but if you need the s2Member pro-form, then the above are the options.

Couldn’t you have something to say in the page they bought with Specific Post/Page access? Couldn’t they be invited to create an account after payment?
