API Notifications: Need Phone Numbe

When inserting subscriber information into our CRM using “Signup Notifications”, Is there a way to capture the subscribers phone number?

We have it required that they enter their phone number in the form at PayPal and in using the sandbox we tried using %%pnone%% but to no avail.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. We really need to capture the phone number so we can contact new subscribers by phone.
