I noticed that a few other people had asked about whether it was possible to automatically populate the billing address section of a form with a mailing address that the user supplies as part of a custom field. The way it is set up now, if you want to store a mailing address, you have to set custom fields for the address, city, state etc. Then when a users wants to register, they supply a username, and fill in the mailing address forms. But, then they have to fill in their address again in the billing section, It seems like it should be possible to take and address supplied in the custom field and auto-populate the billing fields with it, then if the user wants to change the address they can, but at least they dont have to go through the hassle of filling the same info in twice if its the same address. It just looks more customer friendly to have it set up that way. I have seen some previous posts on this topic in the primo themes forum, where someone was trying to do the reverse, capture billing address info and populate user fields with it. It seems like it should work the other way too, where you could capture the custom field info and then put it in the billing fields. It seems like this has come up before a few times and I was wondering if anyone had designed a routine to handle it, or had something sort of close I could play with. |
