The website I’m working on has been purchased from the previous owner. He had his paid members set for recurring payments. We changed that so new ones are only for one year and changed all the paypal settings to go to the new owner. However, we just discovered that the old owner got 2 auto renewals paid to him. We would like to change all the old paid members so they do not auto-renew. If you could please explain how to do this, I would appreciate it.

Hi Erica,

The only way to stop the old subscriptions from auto-renewing is to cancel them. The auto-renewal was configured when the subscriptions were created on PayPal’s side and as far as I know, PayPal doesn’t let you modify existing recurring subscriptions. You’ll need to have the old owner go into his PayPal account and cancel all the recurring subscriptions.
