This seems to be a common problem. I’ve reviewed a number of forum posts but given the scenario below (it worked in sandbox, not live), I am stumped. I set up test transactions and buttons using sandbox and successfully made purchases, received notification emails (as the admin), received payment emails (from paypal), and received a log-in email (as the purchaser) which directed me back to my registration site. That info correctly went into the system. When I moved out of sandbox to go live – and input all the real API info, the transactions still work (processed, notification of payment to payor and admin) – but there’s no confirmation email with log-in info now. Any thoughts?

Hello Charles, Could you please install the Email Log plugin? Install it, and try doing another test transaction. Does the email get logged? – Eduan

@Eduan I just ran a test using TwentyTen and TwentyTwelve and the confirmation email was not sent by S2 Member. Therefore I don’t think the template is the issue.

The strange thing is that when I go to the login page http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=register and I signup, I do receive an email from the WordPress site with my credentials. Very confusing and time consuming. SO far S2 hasn’t saved me time but wasted a lot of time an energy. Please help get this fixed asap or I will require a refund and find another solution, Thanks

I agree. It was straightforward in testing with PayPal sandbox, but once i went live to demo it doesn’t work. And i can’t seem to get into the system – even with different credit cards/email adressess etc to test the process. It always says something about the admin being logged in (which I am not). I am now having to get my client to test it and they aren’t getting emails and everything appears broken. I feel trapped having convinced them to use this free version for a pretty simple membership platform, and there’s no way to get technical assistance. I am about to tell them they can have their money back and apologize for convincing them this would work.

Based on the log entries posted earlier, I suspect in at least one case reported here, the issue is installation-specific (i.e. configuration). Please be sure that you have updated your PayPal PDT Identity Key after going live.
