I want to do the subscription time-release content drip thing in S2 but I think I’ve found a flaw with the PHP code I’ve found. I can’t seem to comment out and paste the code here… but the solution I’ve seen is based on number of “paid user registration days” gone by. I have paid members on my site already and as far as I can tell if I sell a weekly subscription and if my existing paid members have been with me for a year… they will get over 50 pieces of content all at once because their accounts have already been around for a long time because they purchased something else a while ago. And I don’t think membership levels or custom capabilities will reset their start date. Is there some kind of PHP conditional that will make pre-existing members start at week #1 when they buy… just like everyone else? |
