Hi guys,

I just had a member sign up to my site and from what I gather upgrade to S2 Level 1 through a standard paypal button to pay a yearly payment.

I was surprised to visit his profile to see that it hasn’t actually been upgraded yet.

First time I have ever seen this happen so I dived into the logs to take a look.

The payment was picked up successfully without issue but I don’t fully understand the last few lines of the logs.

Here they are:

It seems that something is being placed in transient and will be processed on site?

Does this mean the upgrade process may still happen or has something not fired.

A few weeks back I started using Gravity Forms and needed to use the default PayPal IPN URL for that.

That means there isn’t an s2 member URL set for the default IPN address, but i only use standard Paypal buttons so I thought that would be fine as they use their own IPN don’t they?

Does that still include upgrade buttons?

If someone could have a look at the above for me, that would be great!

Thanks :)

By the way, I have removed email addresses purposely above for privacy. they were all there in the logs just fine initially.

Hahaha, actually guys I THINK I might know what caused this and it’s pretty innocent.

I noticed the member had left a Capital letter off their name when they first registered so I went into the backend to change it in their profile.

It was at the time the upgrade was going through. It does look from the logs above that the S2 level WAS upgraded, BUT I bet when I saved the name change, it actually saved over all of the upgrade details that S2 would have just processed.

If someone could just confirm that the logs above look like they DID actually upgrade this member, i think we can put it down to that as the issue.

Hi Ross,

Yes, the message “s2Member Level/Capabilities updated w/ advanced update routines” would indicate that an upgrade was successfully processed.
