Create a searchable skills matching website?

Hi there.

I’m very interested in purchasing the s2members pro plug-in but would like to know if it could help me build a website similar to the following website, a searchable directory listing of people/skills.

I would like to work it like this:

1. User can register and create profile with separate fields for skills, location etc and to upload a profile image
2. Email to admin who must activate the user before they are listed (user gets email confirm back)
3. User can update their profile at a later date (login to access)

4. Website users can search for a person using a couple of select lists and keyword (as medicos24 site)
5. List of profiles that match the search
6. Click a profile for full details.

If you could let me know or point me in the direction of an example site or tutorials if this can be done, that’d be great.

Hi Tony,

s2Member can handle 1-3 in your list above, but not 4-6.

While s2Member allows you to create custom registration fields and even provide a form for members to update/edit their profile, we don’t provide a directory service or a publicly searchable interface for members. Also, we currently integrate with Gravatar for profile images so they are not changeable within the profile page, however we’re working to improve the way that works in the next major release of the s2Member.
