Hi

Well if I really had been holding my breath waiting these last months for a version of S2member with re-written custom field handling I think I would have long expired!

Back in May when I last asked about this ( see thread here ) getting rid of the old system of having all custom fields mashed up in user_meta seemed like it was pretty imminently on the way out. 4 month later I wonder if this is still the case? Anyone able to give a status update? A release ‘window’ or ‘roadmap’ would be great if no actual release date can be given still.

Thanks.

Hi Iaeon,

A rewrite of how Custom Fields are handled has been included. Our lead developer, Jason, has been hard at work on the next release for many months now. He’s still working on it. The last I heard, we’re very close to the beta testing phase. We don’t have a “release date” or “release window”, but when it’s ready, we will make an announcement.

Thank you for your patience.

Thanks Raam. I appreciate you cannot say more at this time. Just keep giving Jason the energy drinks and pizza!
