The required option on the Custom registration/profile fields is not working.
if they are filled in the data shows up under users, but users are not being required to fill them in?
is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

Sorry to try and bump this , but I need an answer ASAP?

Thanks

Greg

Not working for me neither.

No errors and users just can register. WP 3.5 here.

I just found out that “required” function is implemented only by javascript.

My other plugin was blocking s2member javascript on registration page.

I think we also need non-javascript way to make “required” work just for the case people try to cheat.

Hey takao,

What other plugin was causing the problem? I only have the basic loaded, wp, so-ecommerce, ultimate maintenance mode, wp-terms of use pluggins.

Thanks

Greg

And how can you tell your java has been blocked?

In my case, it was japanese cart plugin. Just disable them all and compare HTML source. It’s easy to find.

View the source code of the page? What will I see if it is disabled?

Thanks

I have deactivated or deleted all of the other plugins and it still is not requiring the fields for registration? WTH?
