In my case, it was japanese cart plugin. Just disable them all and compare HTML source. It’s easy to find.

I just found out that “required” function is implemented only by javascript. My other plugin was blocking s2member javascript on registration page. I think we also need non-javascript way to make “required” work just for the case people try to cheat.

I found out that “required” action is only checked by javascript. Some other plugin was loading some other javascript and it was blocking it. Anyway, at least I want non-javascript way to force required fields but is it hard to implement? Regards Takao

Not working for me neither. No errors and users just can register. WP 3.5 here.
