Disable state/ Province check

I am trying to disable that check from my registration for Paypal. I understand that by disabling this Paypal still requires it, and that’s fine, I wish to still disable it. It’s a long story, and in order to make the customer happy I need to disable this, I don’t want to get into this. Can you please give me some guidance as to how to disable this?

I tried changing

aria-required="true" maxlength="100" autocomplete="off" name="s2member_pro_paypal_checkout[state]

to

aria-required="false" maxlength="100" autocomplete="off" name="s2member_pro_paypal_checkout[state]

however even if that is marked as false, it still asks for it.

I also removed it from:
/wp-content/plugins/s2member-pro/includes/classes/gateways/paypal/paypal-responses.inc.php

but I think that just stops the PHP check, not the js pop up that appears.

I don’t know what complications it may cause with PayPal when that field is missing/incorrect, but you can test it.

To remove the warning, I guess I’d try prepopulating that field with a dummy value. Or go ahead and edit the JS that does the form validation client-side.
