Download issues.

Hey guys, I just upgraded to Pro from using the free version for several months, in hopes I’ll be able to get some recurring problems fixed. BTW- I LOVE the new widget. That’s awesome!

I’m having issues getting downloads to work properly. I’m hosting them on s3, and they HAVE worked well before, but I started s2M from scratch recently, and now am having a horrible time getting them to work.

When this test account tries to download I get this response:

I’m using this code for downloads, for example:

http://www.cheapochurch.com/?s2member_file_download=bibleflipclean.wmv

If you could give me any clue what’s happening, that’d be great. The problem seems to pop up every once in a while, and I’d like to nip it in the bud.

Update: I read through the thread about the difference between “www.” and non “www.” URLS. Apparently, it also heavily affects downloads too!

For anyone who reads this, make sure your download structure is like this:

http://www.cheapochurch.com/?s2member_file_download=bibleflipclean.wmv

NOT like this: (without www.)

http://cheapochurch.com/?s2member_file_download=bibleflipclean.wmv

Downloads from S3 will not work.

Right, it affects them too if you’re using the s2Member protection, because the WordPress session is affected by the change in www. I’m glad you sorted it out. :)
