Hi,

I like other features of s2member even though it is time consuming to get everything set. However, I would like to have a more “agressive” handling of limit number of times a user can download a file. In the on-site documentation says:

Repeated downloads of the same exact file are NOT tabulated against the totals below. Once a file has been downloaded, future downloads of the same exact file, by the same exact Member will not be counted against them. In other words, if a Member downloads the same file three times, the system only counts that as one unique download. ”

I would like to add up download times anyway, and set the limit for that. How can I do this?

Another question, I don’t see clearly in the documentation that there is expiration time for a download link. For example, paid user can only download the purchase item with in 30 days after the payment date. Can this be done?

The last question,
Can a user see their own purchase history?

Thanks for your work with S2Member.

Hello,

Please see my responses below:

You would need to dig into the code and modify its behavior. As per our support policy (please see s2Member® » Support Policy » Outside Scope), we do not support custom programming or modifications to the code.

Another question, I don’t see clearly in the documentation that there is expiration time for a download link. For example, paid user can only download the purchase item with in 30 days after the payment date. Can this be done?

Please see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions. Using a download key, you can generate a link that expires within 24 hours. Then, you can sell a page using Specific Post/Pages (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page (Buy Now) Buttons) that has an expiration of, let’s say 30 days. On that page, you’d place the code to generate the download link. After 30 days, the user would lose access to that page and any URL they copied would expire after 24 hours (since they lose access to the page, they wouldn’t be able to generate a new download link).

Can a user see their own purchase history?

Currently s2Member does not display purchase history. If this is something you require, you’d need to create your own solution. You may want to see this thread for ideas of how other customers have done this.
