If I am logged in as an Administrator, and I select “Edit Profile” from the drop-down menu at the top right-hand side of the webpage (“Howdy, “), then I am correctly transferred to the User Profile edit screen within the WP administration section.

If I am logged in as someone with less rights than an Administrator, and I select the same “Edit Profile” selection, then the Sign-On Successful page is displayed. I know I must have something set up incorrectly, but I cannot see what it is.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

What do you have this set to? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Member Profile Modifications[/hilite]

Are you using BuddyPress? That alters how user profiles are shown.

Member Profile Modifications is set to: Yes ( redirect to Login Welcome Page; locking all /wp-admin/areas )

When I am logged-in, I have the s2Member Pro Login Widget set up in the left widget area. When someone clicks on Profile here, he gets a pop-up that allows easy modification of his profile.

I am not using BuddyPress.

Thank you.

That’s why clicking “Edit Profile” from the drop-down menu at the top right-hand side of the webpage sends you to the Login Welcome Page. That Edit Profile link you’re clicking is not part of s2Member, but part of WordPress (it’s called the WordPress Admin Bar, which can be shown to regular users as well as Administrators).

Since all s2Member users are regular users and not Administrators, we recommend disabling the WordPress Admin Bar for s2Member users (you can disable the admin bar in the user’s profile, or you can find a WordPress plugin that disables it for all users by default).
