Hi Guys, We are experiencing a relatively large number of members that are trying to upgrade from a free account (purchasing a paid membership) that are being greeted with the error message ’email address is already in use’. Of course this is a simple fix with the member just having to login to their existing account but this isn’t particularly obvious due to our demographic not being particularly tech savvy. The problem we have is our users are then being put off the signup process or are forced to email for assistance, is there a way we can possibly – -Change the message to include some more information (perhaps ’email address already in use – Already have an account? Login here (with login link) ) -Could we also change the form field of ’email’ to be more descriptive or possibly have the form check against the existing emails and ask the user to login ? We also want to figure out a way of returning the customer back to the payment page after logging in in this situation as opposed to the welcome page a standard login would take a user to. Hope you can help! and thank you in advance. Paul |
