Hoping someone can help, I’m having a difficult time getting Reoccurring Payments set up correctly. I received notice earlier today that a client could not check out and was getting the “Error #11586 DPRP is disabled for this merchant.” So I followed advice on this forum to create a API in Paypal and enter it into the s2Member > Paypal Options > Payflow Account Details. So I entered the API Username, Password, Partner and Vendor that was given to me in Paypal under Create APA Access. and now when you try to buy a product with Reoccurring Payment, I get the Error #1 User authentication failed. I’m using s2Member Framework 121213+ s2Member Pro v121213, and WordPress 3.5. Can someone p[lease assist? I’m quite lost as to what to do. The product in question is https://www.ibpsa.com/facility-membership-signup Thanks for any help! |

Hello Carmen, Could you please find out exactly what kind of PayPal account you have? If you’re not sure where to check, contact PayPal and ask them if they could please enable DPRP in your account (what’s necessary for recurring payments I believe). Make sure they don’t get confused with the accounts, I’ve often see the problem (in these forums) that they upgrade the your wrong PayPal account and problems like that. – Eduan |

Carmen, Eduán is right, you should confirm what kind of account you have with PayPal and have them enable DPRP for subscriptions. I’m assuming you’re using the s2Member pro-form with more than just PayPal as a payment option, i.e. cards, to receive payments on your site. For that you need to have PayPal Pro, so make sure you have that. And find out if you have the PayFlow Edition, which is whe you’d enter the PayFlow credentials in s2Member. And then have them enable DPRP so you can sell subscriptions. |

Ok, they “reset” my account and enabled DPRP and yes, I have Paypal Payment Pro and I accept Paypal and other credit cards. However, I am still getting the error on my product when I try to pay. How do I find out if I have Payflow Edition? I feel like I’m not getting anywhere…thanks for any help. |

Update: I found the Payflow are and created a new API User Access. I entered that into Paypal options in s2Member and it went through when I used Paypal as a merchant. So, I’m no longer receiving the error, at least with Paypal as my payment option. Now, is that’s all that’s needed? What about when someone does NOT pay with Paypal and selects a credit card as their payment? Can I assume if it worked with Paypal it will also work with the other credit cards? |

You’re making progress, we’ll figure out what’s missing so you can get all payments successfully. :) Could you please show me the log entries for that transaction? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] So you have PayPal Pro PayFlow Edition? And you filled out all the PayPal and PayFlow credentials in s2Member? Did you double-check to make sure they are all correct? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options[/hilite] |

Hi sorry for the delay, I’ve been away. Ok, I went to wp-content/pluugins/s2member-logs and there are 7 files there. What do I need to show you? I have: paypal-api.log I am not sure what exactly I have, to be honest. I have entered the Paypal flow User Access info I created into the Paypal Options area. The checkout works great when choosing Paypal as my payment option, but choosing Visa or Mastercard is where I encounter the error now. Which of those logs do I need to open up and paste the contents of? Thanks again and happy new year! |

The related entries from the logs that don’t say “archive”, please. Put them inside [hilite mono]<[/hilite][hilite mono]code><[/hilite][hilite mono]/code>[/hilite] tags.
It sounds like the PayFlow credentials may be at fault. Could you confirm with PayPal support if you have the PayFlow Edition of PayPal Pro? |

Hi, i’m trying to paste the data into the reply field and then I select it and click the CODE icon, but when I click Submit New Reply, it says ERROR: Your reply cannot be empty. I’m not sure what the problem is. I’m just trying to do one file, and it’s VERY large. Could that be it? Any help would be appreciated, I need to get this fixed. I will double check if we have the Payflow Edition of Paypal Pro. |

Ok. I just called Paypal and they show the account is NOT the Payflow Edition of Paypal Pro. However, they did say they have other ways of us using the Reoccurring Payments without PayFlow…but I’m assuming we need Payflow because that’s the method you use for s2Member? I can have them migrate the account to Payflow Edition…and then I understand I will be entering the vendor info and NOT have to create a API Access, which is what I HAD been doing. Can you confirm? Just confirm I need to indeed Migrate to Payflow and then I can at least get that done. Maybe you won’t even need to see the logs after that? Thank you! |

Great. :) Make sure you complete these: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal Account Details[/hilite] This video may help with the PayFlow credentials part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0jOq2MRTVQ Also, have logging enabled in case we need more information during your tests. Ok, I been on the phone with Paypal’s Integration Team, followed their instructions, followed your steps you listed above, created and entered the API Username, Vendor, Merchant, Password, Identity Token, etc., watched the video and I’m still receiving Error #1. User Authentication Failed. I entered my new Paypal Manager login credentials under the Payflow Account Details as the video instructed. Is there ANY way I can privately send you my Website login credentials and my Paypal info API info so you can check the configuration? It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve been able to sell a membership and I’ve got to get this resolved. I can try to resend you the log you need, but when I attempted to paste the log data into the forum’s entry field last time, it wouldn’t go through. Please help when you can, I’d sure appreciate it! |

Carmen, It looks like this may be an issue related to sandbox (See: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/error-1-user-authentication-failed-2/). You started getting Error #1 after you started using Payflow which leads me to believe that this is probably caused by Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -> Developer/Sandbox Testing? being set to ON. Can you check and see what you have set up there? Also, if that’s NOT on, can you please copy the data in the log files you listed out in your previous post and post some of the data in the files here, wrapped in <code></code> tags? |

Sandbox testing is set to OFF. I’ve tried AGAIN to paste the logs using the code you gave me and it won’t let me. It says ERROR your reply cannot be empty. I placed the code in between the

Also, if you can’t help us directly by logging into our site and FTP, are there s2Member developers you can recommend we can hire for help? |

Also, we have been receiving Error #1 from the beginning, not just since we added Payflow to our Paypal account. We were getting the error, presumably, because we didn’t HAVE Payflow set up. Then, once we got Payflow added to our account, we thought the problem would be solved, but it still gives us the same error. |

Carmen, the code would go inside [hilite mono]<code></code>[/hilite] tags. Sure, please use the contact form to send the login info, I’ll take a look hoping to find what the problem with your configuration is. s2Member® » Private Contact Form Could you confirm with PayPal that you have PayPal Pro PayFlow Edition and not PayFlow Pro (this is another service that’s not supported by s2Member yet). |

Ok, inside Paypal Manager it says Payflow SDK/API (Full Access), which is what they gave us when we asked for Payflow Edition. Is that correct? Ok, I will use the Contact Form and attach the logs. Thank you! |

Ok, I just used the contact form to send you several logs, referencing this Forum post. The product we are having this issue on, which is the only reoccurring payment product, is found here: https://www.ibpsa.com/facility-membership-signup/?s2-ssl=yes Thank you! |

Well, it’d seem that way if you have PayPal Pro. Please verify that you have PayPal Pro and not PayFlow Pro. I see that all entries in your payflow log, show the Error 1 message. I looked up more info on the error and found this: http://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/vhelp/paypalmanager_help/result_values_for_transaction_declines_or_errors.htm
Could you check those with the PayPal support rep? |

Ok, just got off the phone with Paypal. We went over the configuration again and everything is fine. I also tested the purchase of a Membership using Mastercard that was a one-time payment and NOT reoccurring and it went through fine. So, my question now is…could it be the actual button itself? Here’s the code s2Member gave me when I created this Reoccurring Payment: [s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level="1" ccaps="" desc="Facility Membership -- $24 per month" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" custom="www.ibpsa.com" ta="24" tp="30" tt="D" ra="24" rp="1" rt="M" rr="1" rrt="" rra="1" accept="paypal, visa, mastercard, amex, discover, maestro, solo" accept_via_paypal="paypal" coupon="" accept_coupons="0" default_country_code="" captcha="0" /]Can you tell me if this is correct? Could the issue lie in this code since it’s the only one we have a problem with? Thank you. Also, Paypal told me we have Payflow Pro, which is the same as Paypal Pro with Payflow. For what it’s worth. |
