Hello, I am trying to test S2Member Pro with a sandbox PayPal account. I have watched the video and set everything up exactly as instructed. I still get this error “Error. Please contact Support for assistance.”

Please see my log below. Also, I do not believe my site is SSL enabled yet. Could this be my problem?

PLease help, I would like to get this working. My goal is to use Pro forms, without PayPal Pro. I understand this is possible after editing the shortcode to remove the other payment options.

Thanks

Hi Greg,

Please download this Server Check Tool, upload the PHP file to your WordPress directory, and then load the URL to the file in your browser. It will run a bunch of tests to determine if there’s anything amiss on the server-side.

If all of those things check out fine, then I would suggest testing with a live PayPal account instead of the SandBox. We’ve seem some strange issues with PayPal’s Sandbox and sometimes it behaves unexpectedly. Testing $0.01 transactions on a live account will be a much better test of your final setup.

Hi Greg,

As the script explains, the following issues were discovered:

[ERROR] Mcrypt/Encryption Extension - Missing Mcrypt extension.
[ERROR] cURL Extension / Or fopen() URL - PHP not compiled with OpenSSL.
[ERROR] OpenSSL Extension With openssl_sign() - PHP not compiled with OpenSSL.
[ERROR] Temporary Files Directory - Unable to find a readable/writable temporary files directory.
[WARNING] Missing $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR']

You will need to fix the errors before you can use s2Member. The descriptions under each of the errors on the Server Scan page should point you in the right direction. If in doubt, I recommend contacting your web host, as these are all issues they are responsible for fixing.
