Compilation failed: POSIX collating elements are not supported at offset 90 in /home/nola/public_html/nbw/wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/_xtnls/markdown/nc-markdown.inc.php on line 810

So I am getting this error even on a completely clean install with only default plugins installed. I make a new install and new database and it comes up on the first login.

Can you tell me what causes this. Some indications in your forum say it has to do with PHP factors like something that as improperly compiled? Can you give me some insight into this?

PCRE (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions) Support enabled
PCRE Library Version 8.13 2011-08-16

PHP Version 5.2.17

Thanks in advance.

Hello Brett,

Could you please try using the following file:
http://www.s2member.com/wp-content/downloads/s2member-file-download-key-135fd23826b5c45b06ab41828027a8c5/s2m-server-check.zip

Simply upload it to your WordPress folder and open it with a browser.

I tell you this cause I’m not sure what version of PHP s2Member requires, so just to get server problems out of the way. ;)

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Brett,

I’m going to escalate this to Jason, the lead developer. He should be able to offer some insight into what’s going on.

Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for the heads up on this request for support.

@ Brett

Please see this thread for full details on the issue.

PCRE v8.13 has a known bug which causes this error. Current versions of PHP come with v8.12, so having 8.13 indicates that PCRE is already installed on your server prior to the installation of PHP.
