Fatal Error When Trying to Activate Plugin

Our hosting company migrated a site that uses s2Member from one storage location to another (cloud servers).

We now get the following error:

PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare s2member_file_download_key() (previously declared in …/wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/functions/api-functions.inc.php:427) in …./wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/functions/file-download-access.inc.php on line 314

I’ve tried removing and installing the plugin, but that does not work. I’ve tried installing a new version of the plugin, and that will install, but there is no Dashboard menu for S2Members.

Have you tried deleting the plugin via FTP and then re-uploading the plugin via FTP as well?

Yep. I’ve deleted and uploaded the plugin numerous times and still get the error on activation (using the version that was on the site when they migrated).

I’ve also installed a newer version of the plugin, but when I do that, it activates, but the s2Members menu doesn’t show up in the dashboard.

And the site was working before the migration? Did the domain name change for the site?

What versions of WordPress and s2Member are you using?

Have you tried changing to the default theme as a test? Deactivating other plugins?
