I am in the midst of trying to get S2Member to integrate with paypal pro and have gotten SSL for the site. When I place the force code into the custom box and update it seems okay but when I then load the page it seems to be http not https. When I manually type in the url as https:// it seems to open a secure page. I am using the twenty eleven theme. I must be doing something simple wrong. Any ideas?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom.

Could you show me a screenshot of how you entered the custom field for the post to be secured? It should be like this:

Thank you Cristián! That is just what I needed. Your pic helped me realize that I have been entering the code in the wrong place. I had put it into the “Custom Capabilities” box when it needed to go into the “Custom Fields” box. It turns out that my version of WP did not have the custom fields active and so I didn’t see it on the edit page. I found that I needed to check the checkbox to get it to appear and once that was done your picture showed me exactly what I needed to do. It might help non-coding newbs like myself to have that picture available in the help files. Maybe it is and I missed it?

The page is coming up as https at this point so that is success. However, when I log out and try to go to that page I am automatically redirected to the membership page. What do I need to do to make that page pubic and not be redirected?

Many thanks. Tom

I’m so glad it helped you. :)

However, when I log out and try to go to that page I am automatically redirected to the membership page.

Did you protect that page in some way? If so, being logged out would definitely redirect you. When you get sent to the Membership Options Page, what are the variables in the URL in your address bar? They’ll show what restriction is being applied. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Membership Options Page Variables (MOP Vars)[/hilite]

Thank you Cristián. When I click on the page I want to be public I get this:

?_s2member_seeking%5Btype%5D=page&_s2member_seeking%5Bpage%5D=1225&_s2member_seeking%5B_uri%5D=L3Rlc3BhbC0zLz9zMi1zc2w9eWVz&_s2member_req%5Btype%5D=ccap&_s2member_req%5Bccap%5D=s2member_force_ssl__1&_s2member_res%5Btype%5D=ccap&s2member_seeking=page-1225&s2member_ccap_req=s2member_force_ssl__1

I am sure the answer is in that url…but I can’t seem to figure it out. It’s hell being a newb! Thanks for any help.

Ah, I see:

s2member_ccap_req=s2member_force_ssl__1

You need to remove that from the Custom Capability field where you entered that before and save.

I hope that helps! :)
