I’d like a bit more information on your product, specifically based on some examples of what we are looking to accomplish on our website.

We are developing a WordPress site that will have 3 core functions delivering continuing education credits to professionals.

1) a Learning module. This will allow users to register and purchase individual online delivered learning courses. So for this we would need basic cart/ecomm purchase functionality which I know you have. The question is we want to limit access to a secured course or group of courses for 30 days from date of purchase, so the student can take the course as often as they like in that period, and when time is up they no longer have access to it. Is this possible?

2) a Testing module. We will utilize a testing plugin to create quizzes/tests to the learning module a student completes. The test would be associated with the CEU they purchase from #1 and once they decide to take it, within the 30 days, they will have access to it and once it’s complete access goes away – so basically option 1 will have to grant access to 2 places the education component and the testing component. Can this be done?

3) Finally a Storage model which will work in a subscription fashion, so I know your product can do this. All courses and tests taken on our site will be kept in a user area as an account history, and we will maintain the data for as long as the customer subscription is active.

Along with the above the education modules, etc. are delivered electronically, but not downloaded. So is it possible to obfuscate the url or location of the course ware / tests so that no one can access the data directly, bypassing the purchase options.

Also can I use your product exclusively for all of the above, or will I also need an e-commerce / cart plugin?

Any info you can give me to help see if your product will fit our needs is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Tony,

Yes, all of this can be achieved with s2Member. You will need to make extensive use of two features in particular: Content Dripping and Custom Capabilities.

Download Restrictions come in two flavors: Basic (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions) and Advanced (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions). With Advanced download restrictions, you can create URLs that contain a unique, automatically generated key which expires 24 hours from generation.
