can we include the default S2member billing address in level 0 members rather than re-creating the address fields through ‘registration profile fields and options’ — why re-create if it already exists.

The billing address goes to the gateway to process the payment, and isn’t stored by s2Member. The custom fields are not created specifically for addresses, so there isn’t an integration between the two. Though I can see what you mean and I’ll talk this with Jason to see what we could do.
