Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I couldn’t see it explained anywhere in the documentation.

Just how do I get a new member’s details when they sign up via Paypal?

IE: user name, password etc.

Where does this form get created and how do I integrate it with Paypal?

Thanks

Hello Mark,

s2Member integrates with PayPal for you, check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details to configure your PayPal account. Check this video: Video » s2Member (PayPal® Options/Buttons)

Hope this helps. :)

Ed,

well that video was well hidden.

Didn’t see it in the Playlist at first as it’s hidden below the frame and right at the bottom.

OK,

it seems that to do what i want to do I will need s2 Member Pro and Paypal Pro.

Not a real drama, just nice to know before I get to far down the track.

Thanks

If all you really want is to receive payments through PayPal and give access for it then not really.

What exactly do you want to achieve so that I can tell you if you need the pro versions or not?

Thanks Ed,

I want to set up a membership site with protected content and forums.

When the member signs up via paypal I expect all of their personal information to be recorded in the user section of the backend of the site.

I don’t want them to have to subscribe first and then fill in a second form for paypal payment or vice versa.

I don’t want them to have to have a Paypal account in order to pay.

I’d prefer if the transaction happened on site and that they aren’t taken away the site.

Basically I want the process to be seamless.

Hello Mark,

Well for those requirements you would be required to have s2Member pro and PayPal Pro, because you want to use something that pro-forms offer. Just remember that to use pro-forms you also need to have an SSL certificate and using it, in your website.

Hope this helps. :)
