How easy to go from free to paid membership?

I want to offer a free membership for a period of time (say 6 months). How easy is it to then “transfer” the free members to paid members, without anyone losing their login ID or having to re-register?

Hi J P, s2Member makes this very easy. You’ll simply generate a Billing Modification button or form (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Subscr. Modification Buttons and Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Modification Forms) that upgrades the user from free level to the paid level. The member will need to be logged in to use the button or form. When the member fills out the form and completes their payment, s2Member will automatically upgrade their existing account to the new level. (This assumes that you have properly configured IPN and PDT integration for your payment gateway, e.g., Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® IPN Integration and Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® PDT Integration).
