Hi,

I upgraded s2member from v130617 to v130802 and I’ve been experiencing a few odd issues, some of which I discuss here:
http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/authorize-net-connectivity-issue/

These things may be completely unrelated to the s2member upgrade, but I’m thinking about downgrading back to v130617 from v130802.

So I’m thinking, as an alternative, to just decompress a backup/snapshot of my files and folder I took prior to the s2member upgrade.

Update: I was able to downgrade fairly simply by just overwriting the files in the plugins folder with the old version. As a precaution I went into the admin area and re-saved the settings.

I don’t know if this is the best approach. If I’m forgetting something, please share.

Thanks.

That should do it TJ. So long as when you deleted the two existing directories that you had (e.g. s2member and s2member-pro) that you did delete the ENTIRE directories; e.g. ALL files, and then re-uploaded new directories from the prior release. If you did that, you should be good :-)

FYI: I understand why you did this. However, just for the record, I would never suggest this, because with each new release, we fix things, and improve things. That being said, if you were running hacks or anything like that against a prior release, it may help by reverting until you can tune things in for the latest version.

Thanks Mike. That’s similar to what I did. I took a zipped up backup and just overwrote the files on the server. I then deleted the two new file additions specific to the latest version:

/plugins/s2member/includes/classes/database.inc.php
/plugins/s2member-pro/includes/classes/sc-dripping.inc.php

Thanks again.
