I’m wondering why it seems that some of the presumerably default styling doesn’t seems to be showing in my pro form. For example; the card images and some spacing.
Yes, definitely a lazy-load issue.
Please see: Dashboard -› s2Member -› General Options -› CSS/JS Lazy Loading

Please see: http://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-cache/changelog/
Quick Cache v131128 seems to have corrected this issue; however you do still need to have PHP v5.3+.

If I want to hide ads from members, I know that I can use Shortcode / PHP conditionals. I’m currently using these to hide other content on my current site, but I wanted to check… if I’m using conditionals to hide ads from logged-in members, the ad script is never executed, is it? That would obviously be against the terms of service of the ad companies as the script would be executed but the ad wouldn’t be displayed to visitors.
This is correct, it would be completely excluded :-)

the buttons to manually add members or browse your member list are both missing from the menu.
I believe these were removed in the most recent updates (it was noted in the changelog) that these were merely shortcuts to existing areas of the Dashboard that already come with WordPress.
See: Dashboard -› Users -› Add New and just Users for the same functionality as before.
Line #152. User ID# 162 does NOT belong to an existing User’
This indicates that a member with the ID referenced by your import does not exist.
Did you delete someone since your last export maybe?

It seems the Google reCAPTCHA service was hit with several issues over the past weeks and they have been making improvements to combat this. I too have noticed this on my own sites, but things have improved with some recent changes to Google’s reCAPTCHA service; e.g. fuzzier images, longer codes, photographic images, IP tracking across their entire network, etc.

What you have mind will work just fine with s2Member; so long as you leave s2Member’s IPN integration setup with ClickBank, you can do whatever you like with the Thank-You page.
e.g. Customize the s2Member process, or use your own even :-)
|
|
You should have something like this:
success="http://www.example.com/thankyou/"
Also, this requires s2Member Pro or it will not work as expected.
See: s2Member® » Pro (Upgrade)

Currently I’m running the installation on a non-root directory – e.g. domain.com/mysite/ instead of domain.com/ – not sure if that makes a difference.
No, that should not make a difference.
This line in your log file:
Skipping this IPN response, for now. The Subscr. ID is not associated with a registered Member.
This indicates a problem farther up the chain of events. For s2Member to skip a response like this, it means there never was a paid Subscr. ID associated with a user’s account when the first IPN came in with a txn_type that would indicate a new sale should be recorded.
So the first thing I would do is look over any other IPNs associated with the transaction. Look for what may have failed before this one did (and any messages from s2Member recorded in those previous failures). This particular failure you posted (in and of itself) is not enough to go on I’m afraid.

Thanks for the heads up on this thread :-)
I’m forwarding this to the support team so they will see it. You may also want to submit this yourself. Please see: s2Member® » Private Contact Form

s2Member Pro does support player_aspectratio="" as a Shortcode option to integrate a Responsive design around features made available in JW Player. Here is an example using an s2Stream Shortcode.
[s2Stream player_aspectratio="16:9" player_width="100%" /]

The thing is when I imported the users from one install to another they didn’t all transfer. So some I had to set up manually. If I add an EOT manually in the dashboard what should I put in? Since it’s an ongoing membership should I just put a date way way off in the future like 10 years or something? What value would S2Member put in by default if I’m set up for recurring payments with no end date? They just cancel when they want so there’s no term they sign up for.
In this case you don’t need an EOT Time at all. What you do need is to have the ipn_signup_vars on this site for each Member so that s2Member and Authorize.Net can communicate with each other. This way when/if they do cancel or payments begin to fail, s2Member® can terminate their access automatically.
Short of that, you could do this manually as it occurs.

PayPal® Ticket Reference (#130823-000193), as submitted by Jason.
Hi there. I’m the lead developer for s2Member®, a popular plugin for WordPress that integrates with PayPal Standard Buttons. We have had MANY reports from site owners that encrypted PayPal Buttons are not working.
Please see this thread where I’ve documented the bug.
http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/encrypted-paypal-subscription-button-error/#post-56280
The problem: If a customer clicks an encrypted PayPal Button (and they are NOT logged into their PayPal account yet); they see nothing but a vague error page, and checkout is NOT possible at all.
If the customer is already logged into their PayPal account, they can get to the checkout form when clicking an encrypted button; but this is definitely NOT ideal. You guys currently have MANY merchants out there who are losing lots of money because their encrypted PP buttons are simply broken right now.
I was unable to reproduce this in a Sandbox environment, but it’s definitely happening on the live site. I’ve confirmed this from numerous sources and I’ve tested it myself; even against buttons created within the PayPal UI; as well as through buttons created via the BMCreateButton API too.

Try disabling PayPal Button encryption in your s2Member® -› PayPal Options.

If you’re having trouble you can always log into your site via FTP and deactivate plugins manually. In the case of s2Member® you can delete the entire /wp-content/plugins/s2member/ directory to force a deactivation.

Any thoughts on why that may have happened? Can we simply add in the appropriate info to the s2 profile for that user and carry on?
Yes, you can certainly do that from the Dashboard for this user.
We had a member sign up for a 30 day trial for 1.00. They filled out the form and submitted their info and were charged the 1.00 via authorize.net. However, they were never given the level access the form stated nor was their s2 profile information filled out with all the information, like gateway, ect.
Do you have logging enabled with s2Member? I would take a look at your log files.
Please see: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug)

I need to provide wedding tools, for example a guest list manager or a budget calculator, into a site which will be linked to each user’s account so that each user has access to this and can save his progress. Does the S2 Member plugin have this functionality?
s2Member® does not come with any guest list functionality. If your quesiton is pertaining to whether or not s2Member® could be configured to integrate with another plugin or theme that does; the answer is a VERY likely yes. However, it does depend on how the underlying functionality comes together; and on the way you end up configuring s2Member® to protect this functionality.
Your best bet is to have a look at all of the Restriction Options available with s2Member®.

My project will be a site where customers pay once for permanent access. There’s a requirement for the ability to provide coupon/discount codes at checkout. I understand that this facility is available with ProForms, right ?
That is correct. It is possible to configure all sorts of options for Coupon Codes using PayPal® Pro or Authorize.Net together with s2Member® Pro Forms. See also: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Pro Forms
Now the problem is that the initial payments options will be either Paypal Standard OR ClickBank. (With the latter, we assume that if a suitable coupon code is entered, there has to be a corresponding “product” defined at CB i.e. “full” price and “discounted” price, right ?
If you were going to try to integrate this on your own, then yes; I would say that’s right. That’s the only method I’m aware of, because I don’t believe ClickBank supports coupon codes on their own; and s2Member® integrates coupon codes only via Pro Forms.
PS: hold the front page: as we are in the UK, somebody has just asked, how does Value Added Tax affect things ? We know we can define this in PayPal for buyers in the appropriate countries, but how does S2 know about it before it hands off payment to Paypal ? (Clickbank seems to do an geo-IP lookup but also lets the buyer pick their location and adjusts the payment form accordingly. But again, this is after S2 passes control to it.)
Either way, do we just have to hope that customers don’t mind finding an extra chunk added to their bill ? Hmmm …. :-(
s2Member® Pro Forms allow you to configure tax rate calculations by location, even down to a specific postal code range within your WP Dashboard. You can also configure a global default tax rate if you like. With Pro Forms, taxes are handles on-site, and processed on your site also.
