Hi, I just installed s2member and since my site is in Romanian, I wanted to change the login form fields from English. I searched and found really complex explanations. I’m not a very technical person, but I did solve the problem.
1. Download and install Poedit from here.
2. Download either the free or the paid s2member zip for WordPress and look in s2memberincludestranslations. There’s a file there called s2member.pot. If you have MS Office, it’ll look like a Powerpoint file. Extract it to your desktop or whatever.
3. Open up Poedit and open the .poT file (choose open all files in the bottom right of the menu, since it only sees .po files) that you just extracted. It’ll ask you to change something in the header, ignore it. It’s a dead simple, you just have to translate each sentence or term, minding the %values.
4. Hit Save when you’re done. It’ll save next to your original .pot file as a .mo file.
5. Rename the s2member.mo file to s2member-LOCALE.mo, where locale, in my case, for Romanian is ro_RO, so it’ll be s2member-ro_RO.mo. Find your locale here on the right.
6. Upload the new .mo file to your wordpress site in /wp-content/plugins/. Hit ctrl-F5 on your login screen and voila!

So just put in your translation where it says here in horrible mouse-writing :)
