I am developing an app version of my paid wordpress site, that of course uses s2member. Although I developing it in phonegap (html/javascript), this applies generally to app integration in general. Basically, I have the app working in terms of content for my customers, but now I must wrap that in a login to be able control which users see which content (just like my internet based site does). Is there a method to access wordpress (and by extension, s2member) remotely? Perhaps via ajax/json? And use that info to control features of the app (not asking for help on that part, assuming I could get the data, I’ll handle it from there). I think what it comes down to, regardless of platform and app environment, is having the ability to send a remote ajax call to the wordpress site and get back the necessary data to work with. Maybe there is an even a SOAP based solution that is offered? Just curious because it seems a lot of sites that use s2memberare perfect candidates for apps and when we build them, having s2member right in there will help tremendously. Thanks, |
