Hello! We are migrating from vBulletin + WP + aMember to WP + bbPress + s2Member. So far we’ve migrated everything, but we need to understand how to configure s2Member to manage the members as we have been doing in the past years. Problem #1: We have 2 old membership prices that we have offered with lifetime renewal, which means that they don’t pay the recent price in renewals. In aMember, the specific membership was expired, but saved. In s2Member the user goes to level #0 and nothing is saved so he can renew in the old price. How can we do that? Through coupons? Is is possible to configure permanent and reusable coupons (no expiration) so we can just send them the right coupon for future renewals? They can be used more than once? Problem #2: We have different content (forums, subforums, topics, posts and pages) for men and for women. Men are not supposed to find content for women. And women are not supposed to find content for men. So the s2Member Level system (which is hierarchical) does not help for this restriction by type. How can we use custom capabilities to restrict new topics created in the women area, for example, without doing it one by one. Is it possible to do? Is there a sample code for that? |
