My site is running s2Member Pro Module v130617, and I need to update to v130617+ (or the latest ver). My now-fired web designer has the Username and Password to my s2Member and will not give it to me. I do not know what email he used when he purchased my s2Member. How can I reset my UN and PW so I can update my s2Member Pro Module?

Sorry, but I don’t think it’s going to be possible to get you this information.

The issue with this is that we can only send Username/Password information to the email address an account is connected to. Did you pay for your license with your own PayPal Account, where we could send the information to a PayPal email address?

Hi Bruce, I reimbursed my web designer for out-of-pocket expenses. He billed me $69.00 for the s2Member Premium software that he purchased on Oct 01, 2012. I have the invoice from him showing that I paid him. Not only that, but my site is still running the software. I can prove that it’s my site, and I can prove that I reimbursed him. What else can I do?

Here is the invoice that proves that I paid for, and own the rights to s2Member Premium…

Would it be too much to ask if you can transfer the s2 License from gnofee.com over to my s2 account?

Jeff, I’m terribly sorry you had trouble with your developer, but I’m afraid this is an issue between you. I understand that you gave him the money to purchase the s2Member license, but he seems to have purchased it under his name instead of yours. :/

If you tell me who he is, so I look him up, maybe I’ll find his account and perhaps he did use an email address of yours. When I search the users for gnofee.com or your name, your current account is the only one coming up.

We ask develpers to register a customer license under the customer’s names so he has his own account and not lose access to updates after ending their relationship, precisely to avoid this kind of problem. See: http://www.s2member.com/prices/#s2-terms-license-types

We don’t do license transfers when the owner requests it, much less without his approval. We could have trouble ourselves if we did something like that. You will need to sort this out with him, or get your own s2Member Pro license.

Hi Cristián,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I appreciate your security measures, and your reply. His name and email address is on the Invoice that I attached to this forum. There is no hope to go through my web designer, Aaron Plaat. He has a huge forum log on here. All of it refers to the build on MY website, gnofee.com. As a matter of fact, you even responded to a bunch of his inquiries.

You can find it here:
http://www.s2member.com/search/?q=aaron+plaat

I have one more question, though. What do I do with the copy of s2 Premium that’s running on MY website?

Cristián, you can also do a search for my website name “gnofee.com” here on your site. You will find Aaron Plaat’s inquiry mentioning my website in his “snippet”. Check it out: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/payflow-error-6-month-recurring-membership/

You were not able to help Aaron with this issue, so you forwarded it over to Jason, who was able to offer Aaron a PATCH to solve the issue. Thanks Jason! You helped my site work correctly :) Too bad you can’t help me update MY s2Member Premium.

Thanks for the info.

I see his posts, but when I search him by his name or username, I don’t find him in the users list. With his username (gnofee) only your account comes up. It’s as if his account doesn’t exist anymore. I’ll have to ask for help with this from Elizabeth or Jason.

For now, if you have a copy of s2Member Pro in your site, make sure that the s2Member Framework is the same version, or the Pro add-on won’t be activated. You can find previous versions of the framework here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/s2member/developers/

You’re welcome. Here’s some more info that might help you out. His company name is “TripleSkinny” (all one word). When I made my payment to his PayPal account, the receipt showed another company name “freethelove.org”.

If you cannot find him in your Users List, perhaps you can find him by looking up my s2Member Premium account (he purchased Premium for me. Not the Pro version). Aaron emailed me a bunch of s2Member data, but I don’t know how to read it. Maybe you can give it a shot? Here is a link where you can download the file he sent me:

Thanks for the new info.

I see you have a copy of s2Member Pro v121023. I removed the link to the download because the forums are public.

I left Jason and Elizabeth a note, one of them will most likely leave a reply here as soon as they review this. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for removing the links Cristián. I hope you saved them for Jason and Elizabeth, though. If not, is there a more secure way I can get docs over to you?
