Manual roles changes and page permissions

Hi – we’re having a look at the free version of S2Member

Am I able to do the following please?

1) Have one free membership to my site
2) Manually upgrade members to Employer or Recruiter roles
3) Will these roles respect the page permissions set

I manually changed the role of a test user to Recruiter, set a page to Recruiter level (2) but can still see the page myself when logged in as Employer or not logged in at all!

Have cleared cache etc etc

Any ideas please?

Hi Candi,

What you’re describing is certainly possible with s2Member, but keep in mind that the s2Member roles are cumulative, meaning that Level 2 has access to everything granted to Level 1 and Level 0.

If you need more granular control, we recommend using Custom Capabilities instead of Levels.
