New user email has wrong "From" field

Hi,

In “General Options” -> “Email Configuration” I have set and saved the “Email From Name” to a certain value, but when the new user notification arrives, the “From:” field of the email is “WordPress ” (isignals.net is the domain of my installation).

However, the email with the new user’s username/password does indeed have the “From” field correct.

Any clues?

Hi Takis.

That is the way WordPress does it. I guess there may be a plugin that lets you change that, though. Maybe this one: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mailfrom-ii/

But, this is a setting of the S2Members plugin!

Hi Takis,

The “New User Notification” email is generated by WordPress, not by s2Member. Dashboard -> General Options -> Email Configuration is in the WordPress menus, not the s2Member menu (Dashboard -> s2Member).
