If other CMS / Standalone websites / systems exists in conjunction with WordPress Blog Farms, are there mechanism in the current framework (such as APIs) that would allow the S2Member database be used (i.e. standard CRUD database functions)?

Outside of user based credentials / ACLs at the MySQL level, are there any other mechansims that would allow additional level of protection in terms of authentication and maintenance of referential integrity? This is particular important if management of some of these blogs and/or sites are either mananaged by member sites or outsourced.

Gary,

s2Member currently uses the WordPress database, the WordPress user base, and the WordPress authentication system; there is no separate s2Member database. s2Member is a WordPress plugin that makes heavy use of the tight integration between the plugin and WordPress.
