Hi. We have authorize.net and also Paypal pro set up to take payments. The one particular form that I have a question about was set up through PayPal pro forms. Couple days ago one person filled out the form and paid via PayPal and that payment went through fine. Yesterday another person said she entered her credit card information on the same form and the payment on her end went through, but we never got money in the PayPal account. Furthermore, when I found that person’s account by searching users, it showed that her level of membership is FREE. But she also used a coupon code during checkout for 20% off…
Could it be that this credit card payment went through authorize.net? Do you have any idea what happened???
Thank you very much!

Thanks for your inquiry. ~ We appreciate your patience :-)

Have you reviewed your s2Member® Log Files to see what happened with this transaction?

Apparently, the log was disabled, so there is nothing there. We run a test and got the error code 10501 the transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
What is causing it? Is that PayPal or Authorize.net? Again, form was set up through PayPal pro forms, no custom configurations were made.
Everyone who tries to register on that form with the credit card get signed up for the Free account. People who pay with their PayPal accounts get registered to level 1 fine and the payment goes through with no problem.

Thanks for the heads up on this thread :-)

Error #10501 often occurs because your PayPal account does not yet have Pro service enabled.
