I have fopllowed all the videos and configured paypal, I used the shortcode but when the “buyer” clicks on the buy now button itn says “The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.”

thenh I tried using the raw code but all it did tehn was land on the paypal login page, asked for password and when complete it just showed history. In other words it had no record of a transaction being in progress.

incidentally, with the short code I am not able to chage the buy n ow button image and I would like to do that.

Hi Kath,

Could you please share the button code you’re using and/or a link to the site where this button is available so we can test it?

Also, can you confirm that you’ve configured everything in the following sections:
Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details
Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® IPN Integration
Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® PDT Integration

Yes I can confirm I have configured all of those options.
the site is http://www.fasttrackyouronlinesuccess.com

login details are
http://www.fasttrackyouronlinesuccess.com/wp-admin
username ********
password ********

by the way I like to use my own buy now button but I can’t do this witht eh short code. Any way around this as it seems using the raw code ( where I could replace the src url) alsop doesn’t wprk but simply goes to paypal login then displays history without going to pay.

Hi Kath.

I removed the login info you posted. This is a public forum. Please change your password as soon as possible.

About using your own button, you can use the image attribute for the shortcode. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> image[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

thankyou for the “own image” information but you have not answered my original query
AARRGGH!

if I go to Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons there is only “shortcde attributes explned” not something that lets me change them. Is this something I shuold have from teh upgrade and perhaps it hasn’t upgraded ?

Sorry, I had not read the whole thread, just your last post since I came late in the conversation. I just read your first post.

I think you may be having a parsing problem with WordPress, caused by the theme or another plugin. Could you post a link to the page where you’re using the button shortcode?

You can try deactivating the other plugins and use the default theme as a test, to see if then the button works. If you want the test to be in that page only, you can try these plugins for that:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-theme/
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/plugin-organizer/

Let us know if that helps.

link to the page where I’m using the button shortcode?
http://www.fasttrackyouronlinesuccess.com/664-2/
bit of a messy page but I am using the short code and if only I could change the short code attributes I would be using this button http://www.fasttrackyouronlinesuccess.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/yellow-buy-now.png

I clicked the button and was taken to PayPal without errors. Here’s a screenshot:
