I’m having a similar problem to this one when testing checkout on my site:

http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6586&p=16536

I’ve tried PayPal Pro with card and get 500 Internal Server Error at this URL after purchase:

https://xxx/my-membership-options-page/?s2-ssl=yes%2F

I also tried paying with Express Checkout and get 500 Internal Server Error at this URL after purchase:

https://xxx/my-membership-options-page/?s2-ssl=yes%2F&s2member_paypal_xco=s2member_pro_paypal_checkout_return&token=EC-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

User account is created fine but no confirmation email is sent.

I have tried disabling my other plugins and changing .htaccess but with no luck. Is there any answer to this problem? I can send PayPal logs and the contents of my .htaccess file if it would help?

It’s even giving me a 500 Internal Server Error for a free signup form:

https://xxx/sign-up-now/

Fill out your details, click “Submit Form” and then you get the error.

I’m running the latest version of s2Member® v120213 and WordPress Version 3.3.1

Do you have a solution please?

Hi Mike,

Please take a look at the Mod Security, Random 503/403 Errors KB article and try the suggestion for modifying your .htaccess file to temporarily disable mod_security.
