To help rule out problems on the server, please download this Server Check Tool, upload the PHP file to your WordPress directory, and then load the URL to the file in your browser. It will run a bunch of tests to determine if there’s anything amiss on the server-side.

If problems persist, please setup a test installation with this issue, running on the default WP theme, and with only the s2Member plugin active. We’ll be happy to take a closer look for you.

well, as it turns out, its’ easier and faster to drop my use of s2member and try a different program, so I did. i now have a membership site up and running with WPMU Membership. doesn’t do paypal pro forms but at least it works.
