Hello,
I’ve looked through several threads with similar issue. We are using the most current version of S2 Member. Signups using credit card are processing correctly, but paypal signups are resulting in failed transaction with Result code 36.
From the S2 log file
RESULT=36&RPREF=RXY5A9892E48&RESPMSG=Transaction failed: Fail to obtain approval for the online transaction&TRXRESULT=13&TRXPNREF=EUJPA8DDA8C8&TRXRESPMSG=Referral: 10422-The customer must return to PayPal to select new funding sources.&HOSTCODE=10422

PayPal has not been helpful with this at all. I see from other threads that there was a patch/fix within s2 member some time ago so not sure why this is happening

We’ll need to see your full log files to be able to tell what’s going on. Could you send us a Dashboard login so we can take a look and see what the problem is?

We’re getting close to a resolution and this has a good chance of solving your issue. Jason will release word on this soon and if that does not solve your issue we’ll take another look at your site.
