the system is accepting them and the paypal payments start but they are listed as subscribers in Browse members. From looking at other threads I have looked at our logs and I can see that:

IPN received on: Mon Aug 6, 2012 8:43:15 pm UTC’,
1 => ‘s2Member POST vars verified through a POST back to PayPal®.’,
2 => ‘Unable to verify `$_SERVER[“HTTP_HOST”]`. Please check the `custom` value in your Button Code. It MUST start with your domain name or it won’t work

Do I add the http:// part as well as our domain name to the custom field in the PayPal button creator?

Will this fix it?

It is worth mentioning there is nothing in the custom field at the moment. There were no instructions to add anything unless i missed them.

Hello Marcus,

Could you please provide the full shortcode that you are using? Without changing the custom attribute at all, and could you please provide your website URL in order to be able to see if the custom attribute is correct.

Thanks. ;)

I am an idiot! Just seen the different test address in the button, doh. I am pretty sure updating that will fix it.

OK Marcus, glad you found that.

Were you able to solve that problem changing that?

Hi Eduan,

Setting the buttons to have the correct domain has fixed the previous error.

We are still having a few teething issues with the sign ups. We did a test sign up (level3) to see if it was working ok. It does not error in the same way as before. It set the user up a a level3 member but it didn’t send a confirmation email to the user. The password didn’t seem to work either so i reset it manually and it all seems to be working. (The password issue may be a red herring though). From looking at the logs I can see “Skipping this IPN response, for now. The Subscr. ID is not associated with a registered Member.” is listed after his sign up.

The next two signups didn’t get emails nor did they get a membership level. They were listed as subscriber. I have manually raised them to level 1 (the level they signed up for) from the logs I can see “Skipping this IPN response, for now. The Subscr. ID is not associated with a registered Member.” for these two too I noticed that they had signed up with a different email to their paypal one does that make a difference?
