Hello, we are looking at s2member to manage a membership site we are building. Hoping you can look at our plan and recommend the best way to go about using your software.

We are providing access to charts that contain data we collect. We are developing a system that will allow for filtering of these charts. There are filters we have planned which we want to build into our membership packages.

One of them will be a game filter. We have 20,000+ different games in our database and are wanting to allow a customer to choose a package based on how many games they want to filter as well as provide them a way to choose which games.

Our packages are looking like

A 1 – Game
B 5 – Games
C 15 – Games
D – All Games

We are planning on using the URI restriction method. It is looking like the process might have to be manual at first where a customer would sign up for the 5 Game package and we would have them submit a ticket telling us which game filters they would like access to and then we would create a new custom package for them white listing those game filter URIs. But ideally this would be automated.

Hoping you can let us know if you recommend something different.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Hi Mark,

You could also use the s2Member Custom Capabilities feature. You could sell a Custom Capability like ‘1game’, ‘5game’, etc., and then in your application you could use the s2Member Advanced Conditionals (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals) to check which Custom Capabilities the user has access to and then give them the related access.
