I’m looking for coupon shortcode documentation about options and attributes within the ta=”” attribute in your Coupon Shortcode. I’m using Authorize.net.

In the Pro Coupon section it says.

By default, s2Member will apply the discount to ALL amounts, including any Regular/Recurring fees.
* However, you may configure Coupon Codes that will ONLY apply to (ta) Trial Amounts, or (ra) Regular Amounts.
SAVE-10|10%||ta-only ( 10% off an Initial/Trial Amount; the ta=”” attribute in your Shortcode )

Two Issues

1) I can’t find search or advanced search for looking at past posts in the customer support forum. Where is the search? There is a search function in the s2member header, but a search for the word “Coupon” returns a blank page. Not even a “sorry, no results.” and because this is in the header on every page, I doubt it’s specifically for the forum search.

2) When configuring a pro-coupon, is the “Trial Amount” predesignated in the s2Member® Pro / Authorize.Net® Pro Forms or can it be configured for a trail period which can be configured separately from the trail period in authorize.net forms?

I would like to email a coupon offering a 1-month discount for only the first month and then resume to a reoccurring full price. I would like to do this for both monthly reoccurring memberships and quarterly reoccurring memberships. I do not have a trail period or discount on my membership signups, because for my situation it is better to offer periodic 1-month discounts as a sign up incentive.

What coupon shortcode will work for this purpose?

Hi Steven.

That’s odd. I don’t know what happened, it probably timed-out for your. I just searched for “coupon” and got results: http://www.s2member.com/search/?q=coupon#!q=coupon

2) When configuring a pro-coupon, is the “Trial Amount” predesignated in the s2Member® Pro / Authorize.Net® Pro Forms or can it be configured for a trail period which can be configured separately from the trail period in authorize.net forms?

It’s applied to the trial/initial term in the pro-form’s shortcode.

What you can do is have an initial term that’s exactly the same as a regular one, so you can apply a discount to it but not the recurring payments. If no discount is applied, then the user would pay as he would have with just the regular terms.

I hope it helps! :)

Thank you for your help.

In response to your site’s search functionality, there appears to be a problem with the Google Chrome browser. Your search works fine in IE, but is completely blank in Chrome.

This explains the search issue, but makes me wonder what other functionality issues are users having with Chrome that you (we) aren’t aware of. Could you please check into this Chrome compatibility issue? I would like to use s2member with the confidence that my users experience is uncompromising.

Hi Steven,

I use Chrome exclusively while providing support on s2Member.com and while working with the s2Member plugin. I have never experienced any problem with the Chrome browser and s2Member. I tried searching for “coupon” in the search box near the header and it returned the results right away.
