Hi,

I am unsure whether or not this has been asked before, I apologise if I am wasting anybody’s time.

I wish to create a site where paid video features heavily, I have looked at hosting and foundnd Viddler to provide a service to my liking (e.g. good UI, bandwidth, site whitelisting etc.) so I haven’t really considered JWplayer etc.

If I wanted to create a page that has the video at the top and then a brief description underneath is it possible to block unpaid members from viewing the embedded flash video without hiding the text? I would still like search engine spider to read the descriptions and therefore don’t wish to hide the entire page.

Can this be done with S2member? Is there a better way maybe to host/protect videos whilst still allowing pages to be read by spiders?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

Yes, this is possible using s2Member conditionals. Please see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals for more information.
