I’m scoping out the s2Member framework free version 120703 on WordPress 3.4.1 with nothing else unusual… no BuddyPress, no Multisite. And a child theme of twentyeleven with nothing additional in functions.php

After registering a new user account, I would expect either the login page or the welcome page. Insead I land on the “get new password” prompt and an error shows there: “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid”.

Does anyone know the root cause of the error? And more importantly how do I make new registrants land on the login or welcome page? And of course not throw an error?

Did you get a response to this as I have the same issue?

Hey Steve, I figured it out. I had been experimenting with a number of different plugins having to do with login forms and registration forms. And I had overlooked to disable the plugin “WordPress Login :: Red Rokk Widget Collection”. That was it! So just try disabling any extra plugins you have going, even if you don’t have the one I mentioned.

Hi,
I am actually using that widget by Red Rokk because I wanted to place the Login form in the sidebar. Thanks for the info though, that explains it. Will have to find another solution.

Thanks again

Steve
