Hi

I currently have members registering as free subscribers. I want then to be able to request to be upgraded to partners which will still be free subscribers but have access to additional content.

I thought the best way to do this is to have a request button that they click that will send me an email notify me of this request. The email could then content a link that if click changes the subscribers level from free subscriber to partner. The email would also display their information gather from the registration form as a free subscriber, since no additional information is need, I don’t want to use a second another registration process. Hence I can control who becomes a partner.

Is this possible? What would be the best way to set this up?

Thanks

Kind Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

The process you describe is not currently possible with the features offered by s2Member. If you want to upgrade a user, we provide a Billing Modification form (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Modification Forms) for doing that.

If you want users to request and upgrade so that you can manually upgrade them, you would need to custom code that functionality.

Hi Raam

Thanks. Ok,I will just add a drop down option to the registration form, which will let them choose if they want to request to be a partner. Then i will follow up on that.

Is it possible to set the registration process that the subscriber can set their own password but is required to verify their email address by being auto emailed a verification link?

Kind Regards

Mark

In Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields you can set Allow Custom Passwords during Registration? to Yes so that users can choose their own password during registration.

As for email signup verification: That is not currently a feature of s2Member, however you may be able to find another WordPress plugin that adds that specific functionality.
