I asked this a little while ago and I wanted to ask again. Any news or updates about s2Member (pro or regular) compatibility with phpBB? Mostly curious since I’m holding off a forum update on my site in the hopes of switching over completely to phpBB.

Thank you!

Hi Sunny.

Nothing specific to phpBB in the current s2Member, but we are working on the new major release of s2Member, which may make it possible to do something with it. I can’t go into details about it right now, though.

I know I’m not saying much, but I hope it’s not a long wait, hopefully a month or so. :)

Hey Cristián,

Thanks for the answer. I understand you might not be able to divulge specific details but my general question is about the possibility of your team doing phpBB integration. If it’s still on the table – great, if not – still great. I’m not exactly holding my breath but knowing it’s a possibility would answer a few immediate questions about my next steps regarding forums.

I take it from your answer you are implying the next major release of s2Member will offer a possible platform for something like the aforementioned?

Maybe, yes. It will depend on whether or not Jason managed to include it by the time of release, but this is something we’re definitely looking at and want to make possible, if not in that very release, a bit later.
