Hey Cristián,

Thanks for the answer. I understand you might not be able to divulge specific details but my general question is about the possibility of your team doing phpBB integration. If it’s still on the table – great, if not – still great. I’m not exactly holding my breath but knowing it’s a possibility would answer a few immediate questions about my next steps regarding forums.

I take it from your answer you are implying the next major release of s2Member will offer a possible platform for something like the aforementioned?

Yah, you know what I’m talking about Jason! haha

The thing is – it doesn’t really matter how it’s done as long as the issue of being able to update s2Member and s2Member pro is somehow addressed. I wouldn’t mind if it’s a message inside WordPress which forced me to go to your site or whatever. Because the option to update s2Member standard edition exists independent of your website (via WordPress) you are essentially also saying “Hey Guys – s2Member Pro updates are good to go!” at the same time. Which in some cases they aren’t.

I know you get it so I won’t belabor it. I also realize we are talking about edge cases and 99.9 percent of the time this won’t happen.

Geez – if the friggin WordPress update looked for s2Member Pro first and updated Pro first then this wouldn’t have happened. You know pull form your site first then pull s2Member standard off WordPress. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info Jason. I’m pretty well ready to pull the trigger on phpBB when you guys open up the bridge. Really – the big deal will be connecting the database/members from s2Member to phpBB. if that is on the table for integration then I’m one happy camper. Right now simplePress is doing a great job of creating a pretty lively offering so I may have impetus to stay with it if/when phpBB becomes and option.

THANK YOU!
