S2 member Clickbank shortcode-> link URL

After an update my s2member registration doesn’t work anymore.

How can I get the link behind the Clickbank short code?

Here is my short code:

Honestly I can't remember how I came from the short code to the link.

The link is necessary in order to integrate cbskin=1346 (customized checkout page) which can not be done via the short code generator.

A link-version of the ClinkBank shortcodes is no longer possible. This was changed due to a ClickBank security change more than six months ago requiring that all s2Member checkouts be digitally signed by s2Member. Please see this thread for more information.

I have learned that the Clickbank system has changed 6 months ago. And since then it is not possible to use cbskin (customized checkout page) variables any more.

Honestly I am a bit frustrated about that (reading the forum- I am not the only one).

Are you guys working on an update? When will it be possible to use cbskin variables with s2member?

Have you tried setting output= attribute to output=”url”? If you do that, s2Member should output the full URL and then you can try adding the CBSKIN part to the end of it.

However, you said that Clickbank doesn’t use cbskin anymore, so I don’t know if that will be of any help.

sorry for the misunderstanding of course Clickbank supports cbskin variables all the time. I just wonder why s2member hasn’t done anymore. As you saved the system changed 6 months ago.

However I tried output=”url” as you recommended.

The link can’t be used as it pulled my data eg. IP.

Please advise how to generate the “clean” click bank link.

s2Member needs that info for the integration, so you should always use the shortcode to generate the ClickBank order link.

If you need to use the button outside the WP installation where you have s2Member, then you’ll need a hack so you can point the order button to your WP site with s2Member, output the URL with the shortcode and redirect the user to it.

From the forum I saw that many user have the same problem.

Since we can’t get the clean Clickbank link anymore is there an s2member update on the way which supports Clickbank cbskin (customized checkout page) variable?

Could you try using the shortcode for the button, with the output attribute set to URL, and adding the cbskin var after it? E.g.

[[s2Member-Pro-ClickBank-Button ... output="url" /]]&cbskin=1234

I simplified it for the example, you’d use the complete shortcode, of course.

Thanks for your supports it works well.

In conclusion for the other users:

1. generate your s2member clickbank shortcode and add you cbskin variable e.g.
[s2Member-Pro-ClickBank-Button ... output="url" /]&cbskin=1234

2. Follow the link and create the php file:

3. put your s2member clickbank short code in the php

4. upload to your server

5. use the redirect link: http://yoursite.com/?clickbank=redirect

Done!

However it would be great if you guys could put the cbskin variable direct in the short code generator with the next update.

By the way, you can use it in the page, not just with the redirection hack. Just put it in the anchor tag around the button. E.g.
