I installed Framework, downloaded the zip file for S2 Pro, unzipped and uploaded the folder to the plug-ins folder using FileZilla. All files seem to have uploaded correctly; however, Framework did not automatically integrate Pro into my WP installation….Pro options do not appear.

I read forum threads and saw one customer who had a similar problem, but my “includes” folder seems to be installed so that thread did not help. I also deleted the s2 Member Pro folder and tried installing again…it was successfully installed, but Framework still does not update the installation.

I cannot move forward with my site without resolving this issue. I would appreciate some help. Thank you.

Did you make sure you’re using the same release version for s2Member and s2Member Pro?

You can try the server scanner to check if the checksum for the s2member and s2member-pro directories are correct. Knowledge Base » s2Member® Server Scanner

Did you make sure the your s2member-pro directory doesn’t have an extra folder in the path? Sometimes happens when unzipping. See: s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

Hi Cristian:

Thanks for your response. Both versions are 130406. I was unable to run the server scanner check. As far as extra files being uploaded, I would have no way to know unless you provide me a list of what files are contained in the S2 Member Pro file. I feel confident the file was uploaded correctly to my WP installation. Is there a way to send private log-in info for my site and hosting company so that you can check things out? If not, I will need to uninstall S2 Member , request a refund and switch to a new service.

Look forward to hearing back. Thank you.

As far as extra files being uploaded, I would have no way to know unless you provide me a list of what files are contained in the S2 Member Pro file.

I didn’t mean extra files, I meant an extra folder in the path, like this:

/wp-content/plugins/s2member-pro/[hilite mono]s2member-pro/[/hilite]pro-module.php

It’s explained in the page I linked to above: s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

If that’s not the case, and the server scanner gave you an all green, then you can send the site’s info using the contact form and I’ll take a look for you. If you do, please leave a reply here letting me know. Thanks. s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Cristian:

A server scanner check was not possible on the Host Gator shared server–a tech support rep walked me through the steps of the scanner check, but he told me that with shared servers, the scanner check is not always possible. There are no extra folders as you suggested. All steps were followed exactly and Framework does not automatically load Pro.

I have spent the last four days working on what should be a very simple issue. Now, I would just like a refund so that I can move on. I have read your refund policy in detail and since I was unable to install Pro for which I paid $69, I would like a prompt refund; otherwise I am prepared to take other steps. Thank you.

The server scanner script can be used without a problem in a shared host, I have HostGator too and have no difficulty trying it there. This tool would help see if the s2member folders are the way they should (not changed/missing files). Knowledge Base » s2Member® Server Scanner

I also asked for the site info so I could take a look for you to help identify what the issue in your installation is, but I didn’t get it.

s2Member and s2Member Pro are installable and work every time I’ve tried it and most other site owners try it. When they can’t, it’s usually one of the things I suggested you check earlier. This is the refund policy: s2Member® » Terms » Refund Policy

If you send me the site info (dashboard and FTP), I’ll review your installation to find why s2Member Pro may not be recognized as you said. Thanks! Here’s the private contact form: s2Member® » Private Contact Form
