EDIT: Read reply for update on this issue. User error. My client informed me that their site running s2member pro only was only partially loading. Checking the source, I saw that a reference to the s2member pro login widget function was not recognized, throwing an error and causing the rest of the site not to load. After logging in to the wp admin area, I saw that s2member pro was asking for a username password to upgrade to the lastest version. I upgraded to the latest version of s2member pro and problem solved. So it seems that somehow s2member deactivated itself in this process, causing the site to come down. Does this seem right? What could have happened here and what can be done to make sure the plugin doesn’t get deactivated every time an upgrade is needed?
